The Physical Production Team functions as a production company inside Marcom. This team collaborates with creative partners, producing a wide variety of premium content.
Description:
The line producer supports the social creative team vision by executing the physical production and handling day-to-day operational logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the director, creatives, and internal client producers to make the creative vision financially achievable while resolving problems that arise during all stages of production.
- Create, manage, and track the production budget.
- Hire and manage the below-the-line crew and vendors.
- Handle the practical logistics of a production, including securing locations, equipment, and facilities while keeping costs down.
- Oversee the wrap of the shoot and the transition to the post-production phase, including managing deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a line producer.
- Strong understanding of the entire filmmaking process, combining artistic awareness with practical management.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment with short deadlines.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, sometimes with minimal notice.
- Ability to create, manage, and monitor budgets, estimate costs, and track unexpected expenses.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience producing a wide spectrum of content, including commercials, social content, on-camera interviews, short-form documentaries, scripted and unscripted formats.
- Knowledge of union and non-union rules, production accounting, and business affairs best practices.
- You have relationships with the production community that bring an in-depth knowledge of crew, director talent, and production resources.
- Experienced leader with a track record of influencing and motivating others at all levels, a great teammate, and a consensus builder.
- Technical knowledge of the latest production tools; camera, lighting, & workflows.
- Appetite for curiosity and learning in an ever-changing content creation landscape.
