Marcom is Apple's Global Marketing Communications group. We are the creative organization responsible for all of Apple's advertising and marketing to ensure the detailed development and execution of world-class communications. The Operations team empowers Marcom's creativity by ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and governance across our global organization and processes.

Tools Governance is an essential function within the Governance and Technology operations team, driving the strategy, guidance and execution around Marcom's operational tools and ensuring that our workflows are utilizing tools & technology in a way that drives efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Assignment Scope

The contractor will be responsible for sustaining and advancing Marcom's technology and tools initiatives, ensuring alignment with Marcom's established goals around efficiency, compliance and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Continuity & Operations Management
  • Maintain momentum on existing efficiency and innovation initiatives within Marcom's internal operational processes
  • Continue strategic planning, development, implementation and change management of internal technologies and tools already in progress
  • Sustain the established internal tools governance framework and drive ongoing evolution of Marcom's operational technologies and tools
  • Collaborate with tools team across the organization to support tools governance function

Assessment & Research Activities

  • Execute ongoing needs assessments across the organization and market research for available 3rd party solutions
  • Advance current tools development briefs for proprietary tool development needs and new features on existing toolsets
  • Continue development of product strategy and roadmap based on established needs assessment and market research

Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment

  • Maintain alignment on strategy and roadmap with MP&S team within IS&T
  • Ensure continued execution within MP&S aligns with Marcom's established goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with MP&S and UX/UI designers on ongoing interface and workflow development projects

Implementation & Adoption Management

  • Support Marcom stakeholders in current rollout and adoption initiatives for new tools and technologies
  • Monitor organization-wide adoption progress and milestone achievement
  • Ensure continued progress toward target adoption timings

Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain established criteria for tool selection, evaluation, and ongoing maintenance, including ROI assessment, security compliance, and user accessibility
  • Continue collaboration with Ops Platforms & Content Manager on user training, workshops, and educational sessions
  • Ensure ongoing compliance of internal tools with data protection regulations, privacy policies, and industry standards

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in internal tools strategy and governance roles within technology or marketing organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to step into existing initiatives and maintain operational continuity
  • Experience conducting cross-functional workflow sessions to assess organizational needs for process efficiency solutions
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum

Technical & Strategic Capabilities

  • Track record of managing organization-wide internal tools and technology initiatives in global marketing environments
  • Background in user adoption strategies and change management for technology implementations
  • Experience with measurement criteria development for success tracking and continuous performance improvement
  • Technical proficiency to ensure compliance with corporate policies and security requirements

Market & Industry Knowledge

  • Broad knowledge of operational tools solutions in the market
  • Ability to conduct effective market research based on organizational needs
  • Understanding of enterprise technology evaluation and selection processes

Collaboration & Communication Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT, UX/UI, and operations
  • Ability to quickly integrate with existing team structures and processes
  • Proven capability to maintain stakeholder relationships during transition periods
