Photo/Motion Creator + Retoucher

Marcom LA’s photography and illustration team supports the strategic and visual storytelling of our brand voice. We are looking for those who approach problems with a heavy dose of both experience and curiosity. Our diverse backgrounds and perspectives drive our ability to deliver creative campaigns with production excellence. We support all the lines of business that fall within the Services category with a range of image research, photo editing, concepting, production, licensing, and postproduction.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled, self-sufficient creator to join our photography team in a hybrid role spanning photo capture, motion capture, and retouching.

This is a hands-on role for a visually driven individual who can own the craft, contribute ideas, and execute with polish across multiple formats — from behind-the-scenes content to product photography to high-end retouching. You’ll partner closely with the internal creative team to help bring concepts to life and ensure the final work meets standards for visual excellence. We’re looking for someone who can be a trusted contributor with strong creative instincts, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. 

Open to remote workers in LA area. Must be willing and able to come to LA office when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality still and motion content across a variety of formats (still life, BTS, portraiture, editorial).
• Retouch imagery across concept and production stages — including masking, compositing, background extensions, and color work.
• Contribute visual ideas during creative development and respond thoughtfully to feedback throughout the process.
• Work independently on smaller shoots and edits, while collaborating closely with creative leads on larger campaigns.
• Organize and deliver assets according to established workflows, in coordination with the team archivist and producers.
• Maintain discretion on all internal and campaign-related content.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial photography, retouching, and/or motion content creation.
• Portfolio that shows range — including product, portrait, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes work.
• Strong retouching and postproduction skills, with a command of Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One, and workflows.
• Comfort working alongside photo and video productions, and ability to lead small capture assignments when needed.
• Organized, adaptable, and responsive to shifting priorities and timelines.
• Clear, professional communicator who can take feedback well and collaborate across creative roles.
• Detail-oriented, with a deep respect for brand consistency and visual standards.
• Curious and craft-obsessed — always exploring new tools, techniques, and ways to elevate the work.

Education

Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Hours may fluctuate based on project needs.
