Job Summary:
The role of a Print Production Manager is to bring creative concepts to life in multiple print mediums. In this role, you will be instrumental in producing 2D elements on behalf of the company with a goal of maintaining the highest visual standards of one of the most beloved and
empowering brands through all vehicles by which marketing and advertising appears and is maintained globally.
Key Qualifications:
• 5-7 years minimum of print production experience within a creative agency orproduction environment equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and solution-oriented.
• Must be a great collaborator, professional and comfortable managing ambiguoussituations and projects.
• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously.
• Highly organized with tremendous attention to detail and impeccable follow-through.
• Must demonstrate flexibility and perform exceptionally well under pressure, adeptly managing ambiguity while exhibiting resilience when facing complex projects and tight deadlines.
• Candidate must have color analysis skills and experience working on pre-press in RGB and CMYK.
• Working knowledge of image creation from CGI and photography through retouching.
• Familiarity with large and small format litho and inkjet printing, dye-sublimation, and specialty finishing techniques.
• Functional ability to review files in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop files.
• Ability to provide guidance and suggestions on specifications and production methods to achieve schedule and/or budget needs
• Experience in R&D regarding to innovation in print techniques and various substrates
• Candidate must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Description:
• In this position the candidate will be required to work cross functionally with multiple Marcom groups and will be responsible for routing and review of projects through the department.
• The Print Production Manager provides print production expertise, purchasing and project management skills and the ability to meticulously maintain schedules and
budgets for all pre-press and printed materials on various substrates.
• Work with various vendors in the R&D of print techniques and various substrates to ensure that it meets our quality standards.
• The candidate will disseminate crucial information to internal functional teams concerning production timelines and will collect the necessary data for the creation of graphics. Additionally, the candidate will occasionally communicate any challenges that may require additional funding and will conduct negotiations with internal teams and suppliers as needed.
• The scope of work encompasses, but is not limited to, pre-press operations, corporate event graphics, collateral projects, as well as retail window and in-store displays.
• Facilitation of Creative team’s art direction, ensuring accurate interpretation and follow-through on multiple assets and versions.
• Oversee the retouching review process for print assets in collaboration with external vendors, ensuring meticulous quality control. Additionally, ensure timely delivery to cross-functional partners, providing them all necessary files in formats requested
• This is a hybrid position with requirement to work on-site for office days; may also be required to work on site on WFH days if necessary to fulfill project parameters.
• During peak launch/refresh periods, evening and weekend work may be required.
The candidate must be willing to travel domestically, often at short notice.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
