Job Summary

The Accessibility - Audio Engineer works within Marcom's Production Ops team to support our Video Accessibility team, specifically Audio Description Services.  Audio Description is a voice-over narration that provides context to blind and low-vision users. 

The Audio Engineer is responsible for recording talent voiceover, audio editing, and processing audio in preparation for the creation of web-hosted deliverables. The process requires close attention to detail and flexibility to alter course when necessary. Tight turnaround times and periods of high-volume work require an efficient professional who can multitask and successfully pivot between projects with varied tones and needs. Extreme attention to detail is required, as projects frequently go through multiple revision and localization processes. 

A successful Audio Engineer will be accountable for the execution of projects and an active collaborator with internal partners and freelancers. This role also collaborates with video directors/producers to get feedback on execution, and candidates should be comfortable presenting work to staff members within the company.

  • Work with team to prep and organize projects, following designated naming conventions and workflow. 
  • Managing end-to-end audio production of localized videos. Route files to relevant parties for QC and approvals.
  • Mixing Stereo, 5.1, 7.1.2+ surround sound, VO record, dialog editing, mixing for broadcast and web deliverables. 
  • Manage ongoing updates to the audio production deliverables throughout the the project, including Dolby Atmos + Spatial Audio
  • Consistently reevaluate workflow for efficiencies and identify tool opportunity for the group.

Key Qualifications

  • Expert user of Avid Pro Tools, Dolby Atmos Production Suite, Logic, various plugins.
  • Expert level of familiarity with digital audio recording equipment and software.
  • Experience with VO recording, mixing, and direction.
  • Deep understanding of audio/video post-production workflow and codecs.
  • Works well independently and with a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a creative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • MacOS experience required.

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of audio engineering experience required 
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree preferred
QUALIFICATION/ LICENSURE :
  • Preferred years of experience : 10+ Years
  • Travel Required : No travel required
  • Business Day Timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
