Job Summary
The Live Action/Production team is a full-service production organization. We aim to provide the best tools and equipment in the industry to support our creative teams. We are the stage management team. We also function as the standalone in-house production team. We pride ourselves in maintaining high level of standards in the work we produce. 

As a Grip you will be responsible for managing the grip and electric inventory. Checking in and checking out equipment to visiting crews. Sometimes assisting those crews in a Grip or Electric position on set. You will work with Producers, Directors, Directors of Photography and their teams. You will need to familiarize yourself with our available gear. You will work with outside production companies to communicate our availability of equipment. You will need to be up to date with current industry norms involving lighting and grip equipment and practices. You will advise on equipment needs and the future growth of our lighting department. 

The working environment is confidential and dynamic with long term projects and short term emerging needs driven by multiple creative teams. You will manage and triage ever-changing and often conflicting requests in a fast paced production environment where tracking projects is critical. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in video and film. 

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, remains calm under pressure, is friendly, outgoing, diplomatic and communicates clearly and professionally. The ability to develop relationships within our creative community is essential as you will be an important point of contact between us and our visiting artists. 

Key Qualifications 

  • You have at least 10 years experience working with lighting equipment and accessories
  • You are able to light a set as directed or using your own creativity and experience
  • You have the ability to interact with Cinematographers, Producers and their 
    teams
  • You solve problems creatively, quickly and calmly
  • You are able to work on multiple projects with ease
  • You are able to work unpredictable hours expanding to nights and weekends

Additional Skills 

  • Ability to create and maintain a safe set environment
  • Experience with programming DMX and using lighting boards
  • Familiarity with new generation LED lighting
  • Familiarity with Luminaire or Stellar wireless tablet software
  • Ability to prep lighting packages for shoots
  • Ability to prep and drive our production vehicles
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree is recommended.
QUALIFICATION/ LICENSURE :
  • Preferred years of experience : 10+ Years
  • Travel Required : No travel required
  • Business Day Timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
