The ideal candidate comes from Commercial, TV, or Film and has a strong portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful design choices and refined craft; experience with stereoscopic storytelling is a plus. They must be able to work autonomously or collaborate closely with a team, moving fluidly between roles as projects evolve. Above all, they should approach each task—big or small—with a designer’s eye, ensuring that creative intent shines through while maintaining efficiency and organization. A strong emphasis of this role will be the design and creation of visually compelling 3D assets, environments, and animations to support immersive storytelling. The 3D Designer will be supporting a wide range of projects. The tasks will range from designing compelling 3D environments and assets that support immersive workflows and R&D. Some projects are guided by a small internal group and some require taking direction from creative partners. Will need to learn and work with 3D tools that are in development and provide constructive feedback when asked. Proven ability to take a project from start to finish meaning: Concept, 3D design, modeling, layout, material surfacing, animating, lighting, rendering, and compositing with an estimate of time it would take to complete. Understands and relies on the fundamentals of animation and color theory in order to build visually and emotionally engaging immersive experiences.
