The Screens Design Systems Producer drives delivery of Apple core-UI elements used across all Apple products to support business needs while balancing quarterly priorities, production capacity, and control of scope. This role requires a highly skilled and tenured Design Systems Producer with a consistent record leading the development of our screens production pipeline and helping teams create innovative and meticulously crafted creative deliverables. Working alongside Design Systems Production Designer, you will be responsible for the quarterly delivery of thousands of unique assets that cascade into localized files across 23+ languages.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, and highly collaborative. Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills are required. They should be highly skilled in production and interested in new, innovative approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- A firm understanding of the creative process and the nuances of image creation in order to accurately evaluate timelines as scoped by internal and external partners.
- Sync priorities and timelines across Creative Development, Print, Motion Production, HI, and Interactive.
- The skills to learn and cope with rapid change and ambiguity, be able to move forward without knowing all the pieces, all while maintaining a superb attention to detail.
- Be able to prioritize and meet deadlines while juggling many projects at once.
- Track image production status and provide weekly/daily status updates.
- Accountable for risk management and formal route to escalation.
- Receive, compile, confirm accuracy, and distribute pertinent project information to appropriateparties.
- Communicate effectively with Creative and Production Vendor teams.
- Keep current with emerging technologies while constantly evolving the process for efficiencies.
- Expertise in CG/3D, VFX, Photography, 2D workflows.

Experience:
- 10+ years as a Producer, designing and implementing Design Systems in an agency or in-house corporate graphic design environment.
- High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, and Cloud Libraries.
- Additional Design Systems Responsibilities and Technical Requirements:
- Architect and maintain a Smart Object-based component library using Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries.
- Lead 1-2 Production Designers in the creation, tracking, quality control, and release management of core-UI components featured across all Apple marketing deliverables.
- Manage two-phase localization pipeline separating core UI elements from variable content.
- Oversee cascade update implications and release management when modifying components affecting production files.
- Maintain Apple Human Interface Guidelines compliance and annual WWDC component updates.
- Establish Photoshop Smart Object architecture (linked vs embedded strategies).
- Create master templates for all Apple devices at 4x to 32x resolutions.
- Implement Digital Twin JSON metadata tracking system.
- Develop JSX automation scripts for batch processing and updates.
- Manage QC process using UI reference provided by Human Interface.
- Lead weekly component update cycles affecting time-sensitive and business-critical marketing assets during each quarter.
Additional Design Systems Qualifications and Experience:
- Expert-level Photoshop Smart Objects, Layer Comps, and automation.
- Experience managing 500+ file libraries with version control.
- Understanding of localization workflows for 20+ languages, including double-byte, as well as right-to-left languages.
- Knowledge of HDR and high-resolution asset production for Interactive, Video, and Print mediums.
Familiarity with component-based design systems such as Figma and Sketch.
- Experience leading production teams.
- Understanding of Photoshop to After Effects pipeline for motion design.
- Experience creating animation-ready assets with separated layers and null objects.
- Knowledge of AE-compatible naming conventions (ANIM_, STATIC_, NULL_ prefixes).
- Familiarity with creating assets in multiple animation states (default, hover, pressed).
- Experience preparing files for both digital and print production workflows.
- Understanding of print requirements at extreme resolutions (32x device size for billboards/large format).
- Knowledge of color management across digital (Rec. 709, P3, sRGB) and print (CMYK) color spaces.
- Familiarity with creating assets that work across motion, digital, and print touchpoints.
- Understanding of frame rate and codec requirements for animation delivery.
