Description

The AIO Content Strategist supports AI-driven optimization efforts by owning the hands-on content strategy and SEO/AIO execution for launch and sustain periods — from topical analysis and prompt research through content structuring, first-pass copy optimizations, and build reviews. This role requires a strong grounding in SEO fundamentals and content strategy principles, combined with an emerging understanding of how large language models discover, evaluate, and cite content. The AIO Strategist will work closely with an AIO Lead Content Strategist, the broad Content Strategy team, Data Science, Media, Engineering, and creative teams to help ensure customers can discover and engage with products and services through both traditional and AI search.

Responsibilities

  • Reliably own the SEO/AIO and content strategy work for a launch, including topical analysis, prompt research, recommendations, first-pass copy optimizations, and build reviews.
  • Apply content strategy principles to research keywords, topics, and search intent, informing page structure and optimization, meta descriptions, headline and body-copy hierarchy, and page schema/metadata.
  • Track and interpret how LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Rufus/Alexa pick and cite content, applying findings to content optimization decisions.
  • Use tools such as Profound, Semrush, and Google Trends to pull citation and prompt-volume data, and translate those outputs into clear search optimization guidance.
  • Derive insights from search interest data across multiple sources, organize findings, and distill them into clear, prioritized, and usable recommendations.
  • Write short, benefit-focused copy and optimize page content for search performance while ensuring alignment with broader content strategy and brand voice.
  • Partner with content strategy, analytics, media, engineering, and creative teams to ensure AIO/SEO insights inform content planning and structure, and to align on and implement recommendations.
  • Contribute execution and insights to the broader AI Search Strategy team's efforts to help customers discover products, services, and software through AI search.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience partnering with Strategy, Media, Product, Engineering and Creative teams in digital marketing with a focus on media and search optimization programs.
  • 1+ years of experience optimizing for AI search, with knowledge of how LLMs pick and cite content.
  • 5+ years of SEO experience, ideally including content strategy for retail and marketing sites.
  • Familiarity with AIO/SEO tools such as Profound, Semrush, and Google Trends.
  • Solid grasp of SEO fundamentals: keyword, topic, and search-intent research; page structure and optimization; meta descriptions; headline and body-copy hierarchy; page schema and metadata.
  • Ability to understand what outputs like citations and prompt volumes mean for search optimization, and translate them into recommendations.
  • Ability to derive insights from search interest data from different sources, organize findings, and boil them down to clear, prioritized takeaways.
  • Content strategy and copy optimization skills, including writing short, benefit-focused copy and optimizing page content for search.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to translate complex technical data into actionable content strategy and marketing insights.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations related to targeting and personalization.
