Job Summary
The strategy group partners with Brand and Creatives to develop points of view, strategic
platforms, business analyses, and creative briefs to shape innovative creative work for the world’s most beloved brand. Using an objective and insights-driven approach, we will help refine and connect the Apple brand with current and future customers all over the world.
As the Brand Strategy Lead, you will act as the strategic leader for Apple Pay, Apple Cash, Apple Card and Apple Gift Card. You will join a team of Strategists who collaborate closely with extraordinary creative talent to launch new products, create new customer experiences, and tackle a variety of complex marketing challenges.
Key Qualifications
- You have 10+ years of strategic brand planning experience with demonstrated leadership of strategic initiatives at scale.
- You can radically simplify information and translate complexity into clear strategic direction that shapes organizational priorities.
- You bring mastery-level understanding and extensive experience with marketing strategy, experience design, design research, or brand communications.
- You are a clear, effective and persuasive communicator with proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across disciplines and at all levels.
- You possess deep expertise in partnering with and building real, productive relationships with creatives who span many fields, including advertising, video, interactive, print, retail, and so on, with a track record of elevating creative output to industry-leading standards.
- You are highly skilled and recognized as an expert in the following core areas: business and brand strategy, insights and research, and media and communications planning.
- You can knit together disparate sources of information into a strong strategic narrative that defines long-term brand vision and business direction.
- You have extraordinary writing, visual storytelling, and presentation skills with experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership.
- You have significant experience working in financial services with deep category expertise and a strong strategic point of view.
- You are a proven leader who knows how to inspire, mentor, and galvanize ideas.
- You have creative advertising or design agency experience and can provide examples of award-winning creative briefs or case studies that demonstrate measurable strategic impact.
Description
- Partner with Brand and Creative Directors to form and lead, guiding all work related to the products and initiatives, including multi-year strategic planning and vision-setting.
- Provide senior strategic leadership during creative development and reviews, setting the strategic standard and pushing work to be more provocative while ensuring alignment with brand, marketing and other cross-functional partners.
- Own, develop, and champion strategic platforms and other points of view for your products and initiatives, driving consensus across Marcom and other organizations.
- Set the standard for work that is consistently in line with Apple values. Mentor and develop strategists, enabling them to elevate their strategic craft.
- Lead and direct the development of project and creative briefs for use with internal creative teams as launches or new initiatives arise.
- Lead and shape your team's development of points of view and presentations on relevant cultural, bold, or category topics of interest and opportunity.
- Partner with senior leaders in Business, Marketing and Product to understand the business and identify and champion transformative opportunities to push it into new and interesting places.
- Act as the global strategic authority and resource for your products or initiatives as it relates to work developed for other markets, leading alignment of GEO strategy partners behind a singular vision.
Education
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
This is a hybrid-onsite role.
