Job Summary
Apple Services Marketing Communications is seeking a Brand Strategist to inspire and guide development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for App Store across global markets. As a strategic partner for our creative, marketing and cross-functional teams, you will play a key part in making Apple Services relevant and compelling to our customers worldwide, with particular focus on driving App Store growth and engagement in diverse international markets.
Key Qualifications
- 7-10 years of creative strategy experience in marketing/brand/advertising/creative communications, with a strong focus on digital products, mobile apps, gaming, or platform marketing
- Proven experience working on international growth initiatives, particularly in APAC, EMEA, or other key global markets
- Deep expertise in the mobile app ecosystem, gaming industry, social commerce or digital platform marketing—including understanding of app discovery, user acquisition, monetization models, and player/user behavior
- Ability to seek out and synthesize complex business and consumer data to identify trends and unique brand positioning opportunities
- Deep understanding and extensive experience with marketing strategy, experience design, design research, or brand communications
- Track record of leading strategic conversations with diverse stakeholders across disciplines and organizational levels
- Expertise in partnering with and building productive relationships with creative professionals across advertising, video, interactive, digital, retail, and emerging media
- Skilled in core strategic areas: business and brand strategy, consumer insights and research, media and communications planning, and digital/social strategy
- Ability to synthesize disparate sources of data and information into compelling strategic narratives
- Exceptional ability to distill complexity into simple, actionable insights
- Extraordinary writing, visual storytelling, and presentation skills
- Creative advertising or design agency experience required; ability to provide examples of creative briefs, campaign case studies, or platform strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing mobile games, apps, subscription services, or digital platforms
- Understanding of regional cultural nuances and how they impact app/game marketing strategies
- Familiarity with app marketplace dynamics and digital discovery mechanisms
- Experience with live service, seasonal, or event-driven marketing campaigns
- Experience and exposure to driving and executing international campaigns, ideally in Asia
Description
- We partner with Brand and Creative Directors to form a leadership team guiding all work related to App Store products and initiatives, including annual strategic planning with a global-first mindset
- Provide strategic leadership during creative development and reviews, helping to shape the impact of the work and pushing it to be more provocative while ensuring cultural relevance across markets
- Develop, maintain, and evangelize strategic platforms and other points of view for App Store products and initiatives, eliciting input from partners in Marcom and other organizations globally
- Lead development of project and creative briefs for use with internal creative teams as launches or new initiatives arise across multiple markets
- Act as strategy client for our agency, Media Arts Lab (MAL), and other agency partners, providing clear project briefs and guiding development of creative briefs that work across diverse markets
- Guide your team's development of points of view and presentations on relevant cultural, technology, app economy, and category topics of interest and opportunity
- Propose and lead insight development for your area of focus, including primary research projects across international markets
- Partner with Product Marketing to understand the business globally and find opportunities to push it into new and interesting places
- Act as the global strategic lead for App Store, serving as a resource and thought partner for work developed across all markets, helping to align local marketing teams behind a singular vision while respecting nuanced market needs
- Develop deep understanding of app discovery, user acquisition, developer relations, and platform growth strategies in different market contexts
- Stay current on competitive app platforms, digital commerce trends, and mobile ecosystem developments worldwide
Education
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
This is a hybrid-onsite role.
