Business Affairs Project Manager - Payment Partners
Job Summary
Apple’s Business Affairs team is part of Marcom, Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. Marcom oversees all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications.
The Business Affairs team curates and secures rights clearances in connection with the marketing of Apps, Music, TV, Movies, Podcasts, Safari content, and other third party content in all Apple marketing communications worldwide.
The BA Project Manager - Payment Partners works cross functionally on the implementation of that third party content in communications for Payment Partners who are based, mainly, in Asia. The role liaises between teams in Business Affairs and the relevant Geos as well as the App Store, local and Apple Pay marketing teams to understand the deliverables and content needs
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years experience in rights related positions in the advertising and / or the entertainment industry;
- Working knowledge of copyright, trademark and licensing in the area of entertainment or advertising law.
- A solid understanding of intellectual property rights (a law degree is helpful but not required), ideally gained from experience working in a marketing, advertising and / or agency environment.
- Proven team leadership experience and success.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Successful in working in a creatively driven organization.
- Highly resourceful, proactive contributor who can work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of personalities and styles to establish effective relationships with across the organization.

The BA Project Manager - Payment Partners:
- Works cross functionally on Payment Partner deliverables across the Services teams and across Geos.
- Liaises with internal Apple teams to understand each project’s deliverables and the type of third party content to be featured in each deliverable.
- Attends kickoff meetings with creative and production teams.
- Communicates clearly with BA Asset Managers and Geos as to the needs for third party content, project details, creative direction and deadlines.
- Meets with design, creative, producers, screen and content production teams to understand each brief in order to hand off the correct third party content from the Geos to the production teams.
- Briefs Geos on third party content clearance when content is creatively locked.
- Manages and co-ordinates the approval of the use of each third party asset, and clears and approves the use of third party apps.
- Uses Marcom Business Affairs digital tools to create matrices that detail each third party content use for every asset and its localization.
- Maintains regular communication with all teams to ensure proper information flow, clear action items, and timely issue resolution.
- Ensures proper process is adhered to by all teams.
- Advises, innovates and inspires on process and tools implementation and improvement
- Provides production teams with general Business Affairs support pertaining to their projects.
- Assists in initiating and managing risk-related conversations with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Trains producers on the role of the Business Affairs team and how to interact with it.
