3D Generalist | Visual Development
Job Summary
Visual Development sits in CG Studio and is part of the Global Marketing Communications group. We are a team of experienced digital artists, dedicated to craft, creativity, and the exploration of new tools and technologies.
We are looking for a highly versatile and skilled 3D artist who is interested in creating conceptual imagery and motion for ideation and visualization of our global marketing campaigns. In this role you will work as part of a highly collaborative team dedicated to the visualization of 3D products, campaign identities, and various other illustrative and CG deliverables in both motion and static formats.
Key Qualifications
- Expert-level 3D Generalist with a proven emphasis on abstract and illustrative design and animation
- Mastery of Cinema4D, Houdini, or equivalent 3D software package required
- Proficient in Photoshop and/or After Effects
- Experience in Blender, TouchDesigner, or Unity is a plus
- Knowledge of Houdini and Python scripting is a plus
- A portfolio that displays an excellent eye for lighting, color, composition, form and design
- Understanding of photographic lighting principles (experience with practical studio lighting a plus)
- Expertise in motion design principles and their application to tasteful and innovative animation
- Proven ability to create compelling conceptual visuals using procedural and simulation techniques
- Versatility in executing a wide range of 3D illustrative styles, from photorealistic to highly stylized
- Excellent collaboration skills when working with Art Directors and Motion Designers on a cohesive visual style
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; able to stay organized and self-motivated with minimal oversight
- Outstanding attention to detail, a passion for craftsmanship and the pursuit of artistic excellence
- Agility in learning new tools and workflows, thrives in iterative and evolving creative processes
- Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills
Duties
- Work as an integral part of the Visual Development CG Illustration team on conceptual imagery and motion design projects across various media platforms
- Ideate and explore a broad range of creative solutions to communicate abstract concepts effectively
- Iterate and refine visuals effectively with speed and precision
- Visually communicate ideas through lighting, design and composition, while establishing clean, structured 3D scenes that support downstream production teams
- Collaborate closely with Art Directors and creative teams to ensure alignments with project goals
- Maintain strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Stay organized and detail-oriented while juggling multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
- Thrive in a highly iterative and collaborative environment where creative and technological exploration, innovation, and comfort with ambiguity are highly valued

- 10+ years of relevant experience
Education
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
