Operations Business Specialist
Job Summary:
The Operations Business Specialist manages all aspects of the vendor, supplier and staff augmentation budgets within the Marketing Communications group. This includes tracking, approvals, analyzing, forecasting, reconciliation, and ensuring spending is aligned to strategic priorities. It is a cross-functional role that needs to be able to work between multiple teams.
Description:
- Responsible for collecting, tracking and analyzing data to prepare for planning, forecasting, and tracking resource and supplier spending.
- Stakeholder management for business owners as it relates to their programs’ budget.
- Partner with leads and stakeholders on resource/supplier budget strategy, execution, and maintenance to ensure budgets stay on track, and to account for any breakout spending or risks.
- Provide vendor insight, guidance, data, and analysis to senior stakeholders during fiscal and quarterly planning.
- Monitor expected financial ramp to ensure resource plans are on target, staying within the goals of the teams for pricing, ROI, and long term visibility.
- Partner with Finance to advise on overall forecasts and day to day process costs.
- Daily communications between teams, leads and other departments across the organization. Keeping everyone up to date.
Key qualifications:
- 7-10 years of managing budgets for creative organizations.
- Experience in the financial tracking and analysis for marketing communication groups.
- Expert in Excel and confident representing overall data, averages, end goals, and complex reporting on a day to day basis.
- Self-starter that is results-driven while working a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal ability to communicate with stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelors degree required.
