Marcom LA is seeking an experienced marketing communications professional to provide strategic and executional leadership across our consumer marketing with a focus on creative content.
This is a new role that will join an established team of Brand Managers, Producers, Creatives, and Strategists who work across various functional teams (Apple Retail, Channel, Interactive, Events and Video) to help lead, develop, and implement global integrated marketing communication efforts.
Key Qualifications
- Ideal candidate has 7-10 years brand content experience at a creatively driven ad agency or in-house marketing team
- Proactive, inquisitive and team oriented with the ability and vision to define the day-to-day aspects of this new role while keeping focus on its larger goals
- Shown ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and get results throughout a highly matrixed organization
- Expertise in managing the creative development process across a variety of communication vehicles including print, interactive and video
- Knows how to support, understand, and enhance the creative development process across multiple media and functional team
- Able to balance working in a fast-paced, creatively driven organization, with an analytical and disciplined approach to marketing
- Deeply organized and have rigorous attention to detail.
Description
- Oversee and guide the creation of content through the creative development process. This content may include video, photography, demo content, third-party content, partner content, etc.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Services Marketing and Brand team to ensure content is strategically aligned to product features and communication strategies.
- Work in close partnership with creatives and producers to initiate, problem-solve and lead all aspects of creative development of content to be used across all teams.
- Oversee launch and sustaining campaign efforts from inception to completion in the area of creative content strategy and integration across functions.
- Work closely with the Brand Manager, Production teams and Brand Project Manager to input on a launch schedule and guide the use of shared content through the development of launch work.
- Partner with the Brand team and Planner to develop compelling content briefs that align with the overall communication strategies.
- Participate in creative reviews to ensure the content strategy is on brief and the content story is carried across marketing materials.
- Establish processes and documentation to track legal clearances, usages, and placements of key assets across all marketing touchpoints.
- Communicate content strategy and directional changes to key partners.
- Regularly brief creative and content curation teams (e.g. Business Affairs, Photo team); drive communications across teams and align with creative development schedules, presentations, approval processes and troubleshoot to build a smooth workflow for the cross-functional teams involved.
- Handle requests for Content from non-Marcom groups and act as lead on Content specific projects (e.g. screens, PR imagery)
- Lead weekly Content/Functional Producer check-ins through the lifecycle of a project.
- Demonstrate creativity in problem solving, dynamic and unconventional thinking, and quick adaptation to new technical areas.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
