The Cross-Functional Content Producer role is responsible for applying the product content strategy through global production ensuring efficient and cross-functional collaboration.
The Cross-Functional Content Producer will join an established team of Content Producers, Brand Content Managers, Functional Producers and creatives who work across the Marcom functional teams (Apple Retail, Channel, Interactive, Print, and Video) to help guide, develop, and execute global integrated marketing communication efforts.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, organized and highly collaborative. Strong collaboration, problem solving, and negotiation skills are required. The XF Content Producer must feel comfortable interacting and presenting to various levels of leadership and varying types of audiences (one-to-one or larger groups). The ability to deliver clear and concise communication is a must.
Description
- Facilitate the sharing of content across functional project streams, guiding better utilization of the available content, and reducing duplicative production work..
- Establish yourself as the central production partner for Brand Content Managers, Content Creation teams, Functional Producers and Geos.
- Align content creation schedules with functional team schedules and drive communications across teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for a product or service and understand each functional groups content needs.
- Cultivate a thorough and specialized understanding of the creative and content production processes across digital (static & motion) and print formats
- Proactively identify and address workflow challenges and troubleshoot with teams to identify a viable solution.
- Establish processes and documentation to track content usage, and placements of assets across all touch points.
- Keep content production teams informed of any product and software updates that may impact content and provide more visibility in the brand strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 + years experience as an producer, or project manager, preferably at a creatively driven ad agency or in-house marketing communications department.
- Experience and expertise leading the creative development process across a variety of communication vehicles, including interactive and print.
Preferred Qualifications
- A well-rounded marketer with the ability to see the big pictures and be hands on in the details. Use good judgement to prioritize and make effective decisions based on the goals of the organization, but you can also get into the weeds and prove out your ideas through decks and other internal communications you make on your own.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Encourage, inspire, and influence others to work together to move things forward, giving a voice to the best ideas and ensuring others focus on what matters. You can adapt your communications to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences, from junior producers to senior executives.
- Related background and experiences. Including working with large, global brands across a range of marketing touchpoints, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field, and 10-20+ years of relevant marketing and communications experience at a global brand and/or creative agency.
- Enthusiastic, inquisitive, and team oriented. Superb at defining the day-to-day aspects of your primary role while keeping focus on its larger goals.
- Experience building rapport and credibility, with the ability to influence and make things happen throughout a highly matrixed organization. Persuade with diplomacy at every turn.
- Deeply organized, rigorous attention to detail, and are able to make sense of complex (often contradictory) information to effectively solve problems.
