WW Communications Strategist

Job Summary

As our WW Communications Strategist, you will own the development of integrated communications strategies for global campaigns.

You will define the shape and structure of campaigns by drawing from consumer and marketplace insights to build clear frameworks that align brand ambitions with meaningful consumer connections. You will partner closely with brand planners to define campaign audiences and objectives, and work hand-in-hand with creative teams to push the work to be more interesting, more impactful, and more connected to the environments in which it lives. You will partner with media strategy and analytics to ensure that what we're asking to be made can be put into the world efficiently and effectively — and that our actions have a measurable impact on the business.

This role requires someone who can operate with a high degree of autonomy, synthesize complex inputs into clear direction, and bring a distinct point of view to every brief.

Key Qualifications and Abilities

  • Lead the development of communications strategies, campaign architectures, and channel plans that define the shape of integrated worldwide campaigns
  • Ensure that the communications plans you create are carried through to execution via creative, media planning, partnerships and activations, strategic rollout, .com, et al.
  • Develop consumer journeys, campaign narratives, and connections ideas grounded in insight and built for the platforms and cultural moments where they will live
  • Partner with brand planners to develop and sharpen campaign audiences, establish what the campaign needs to achieve, and translate those ambitions into clear briefs for marketing, media, and creative teams and agencies
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams to elevate the work — bringing a perspective that makes campaigns more resonant, more culturally relevant, and more effective in the environments where they run
  • Synthesize path-to-purchase media data, platform insights, consumer research, and .com behavior to build strategies that connect consumers with products across paid, owned, and earned platforms
  • Work with media LOB owners to ensure communications strategies can be executed within media plans, bridging intent with tactical delivery
  • Partner with planning and analytics teams to bring quantitative and qualitative thinking together, pressure-testing and strengthening recommendations
  • Maintain a strong point of view on consumer behavior, emerging media, creative formats, and new technology — and bring that perspective proactively to the team
  • Stay current on industry standards, new media programs, and platform opportunities to continuously evolve how we reach and engage audiences
  • 8–12 years of experience in a media strategy or communications planning role, with a demonstrated track record of developing a strong, confident point of view

Description

You will be joining a team of forward-thinking media experts within Marcom who collaborate closely with extraordinary creative talent to launch products, craft new customer experiences, and tackle complex marketing challenges.

You will be the connective tissue between brand ambition, consumer understanding, and creative expression — ensuring that every campaign is built on a strong foundation and shows up in the world in a way that is both effective and memorable. Using an objective, data-informed approach, you will help connect the brand with current and future customers all over the world.
