Description
As a Technical Producer, you will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of projects from inception through completion. Your duties will include:
- Managing the technical aspects of projects from beginning to completion, ensuring smooth workflow and execution.
- Collaborating with the dailies team to ensure all dailies are technically sound and complete.
- Interfacing with various post-production departments including Editorial, Design, Audio, Color, Calibration, and final delivery teams.
- Coordinating the transfer and availability of necessary files as projects progress through each department.
- Providing technical assistance and support to internal partners and external vendors.
- Preparing editorial offline projects as required.
- Working closely with the calibration team on scheduling, mask requirements, and calibration tasks.
- Generating and preparing all necessary files for final delivery packages.
- Conducting Quality Control (QC) on final deliverables to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Overseeing the overall technical completion and readiness of the show.
- Providing Data I/O (Input/Output) support.
- Maintaining organized server structures and file systems.
- Supporting project archival processes, ensuring all required files are securely stored on the server.
- Maintaining database tasks, status updates, and media log data.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years in professional Post Production department(s)
- Proven experience in a technical production or post-production role.
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows and technical pipelines (e.g., editorial, design, audio, color, delivery).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with relevant software and hardware used in media production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience with DaVinci Resolve for offline, online, and finishing deliveries.
- Background or experience in 3D post production workflows.
- Strong comfortability with process documentation and creating efficient, easily communicated workflows.
- Strong collaborative spirit and experience working with diverse creative and technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high technical standards.
- Familiarity with data management, server maintenance, and archival best practices.
